welcome to cashew kitchen!
Hi! My name is Agnes and I’m a stylist, photographer and educator based in the northern small town of Piteå, Sweden.
I started Cashew Kitchen in 2014, when I had just dropped out of Art School and was looking for a new creative outlet. It quickly grew to become an internationally recognized food blog & Instagram account, and in 2020 I released my debut cookbook Comfort Food with Norstedts publishing.
Since then Cashew Kitchen has shifted to become a place for living and working creatively, honing the craft of photography and letting the heart and intuition lead the way.
The content and course material I create aim to teach other photographers, makers and dreamers to step into their creative power and tell compelling stories with their camera.
Photography has always been the backbone and big love of my business, and my focus is on food, lifestyle and the stunning nordic landscapes I have around me.
I love to capture not just the food but also the mood and situation. My aim is to awaken memories and feelings of nostalgia, as well as longing for the food or place in the picture.
I'm available for photography and styling commissions, workshops and guest teachings, online lectures and content creation. I also do the occasional sponsored post on my Instagram account, if it’s a good fit.
I work with both Swedish and international clients.
A successful collaboration to me means an open communication that covers both my client’s vision, goals and expectations as well as my own.
When you hire me we work together on a vision that describes the feeling, goals and target audience of the campaign as well as the more visual details such as props, mood, background etc. I listen to your needs and come with suggestions based on my own experience on what works, from a photographer’s point of view. So that the end result is a combination of what we both do best.
I value creative freedom and it’s important to me that the clients I work with hire me because they like my photographic style. We regularly check in throughout the process, to make sure I we are on the same page. Ideally we make it a long-term collaboration, so that I can truly get to know your brand.
Throughout the years I’ve worked with brands like Electrolux, Santa Maria, Wasa, Saltå Kvarn, Annas Pepparkakor and Fiskars.
