We got engaged!! | Cashew Kitchen

My eyes feel raw when writing this. It's just after 8 PM and only a couple of hours left of August and summer. For me it's autumn now, despite the fact that I walked around in t-shirt earlier today. I had planned computer work for the whole day, but the sun was shining so persistently outside my window, and I was already distracted. On a quick Bloglovin round I read Rania's post about a short hike she did recently, and the stunning images made me crave going out for a hike so bad! Längst ner hittar du i vanlig ordning mina senaste favoriter från internet et al, denna gången både från juli & augusti.-So, that's what I did. Work could wait, I figured! Instead I packed a thermos with chai latte spiced with turmeric and a cardamom bun (which you might have seen on instagram stories?) and hopped on the bus to Hellasgården, a nature area very close to town (and in the area where I grew up). I imagined it would be at least a little chilly so I had an excuse to wear my favorite flanell shirt, but oh no, out there people where sunbathing and skinny dipping.Anyway, the smell of damp forest grounded me in the way only nature can do, and it felt good to rest my bare feet against warm rocks one more time before summer is gone. An afternoon well spent! Now my body is tired and satisfied after a big shakshuka meal. I'm longing for a cup of tea and to dive into my new book. How was your day?All the pics in this post is from mine and Hannah's summer together. At the bottom you'll find the links from internet et al that I've been crushing on lately!Ett Strömma Farmlodge i kyligt sommarkvällsljus.-Strömma Farmlodge in summer evening light.Kaffe och häng på Juice & Yoga, och så Varbergs klippor i blåsten.-Coffee and hang out at Juice & Yoga, and the ocean in Varberg a windy day.En vecka på vårt lantställe med massa jordgubbsplock och svampfynd.-One week at my family's country house with lots of strawberry picking and mushroom foraging.Ett besök på Mellby Klockargård där vi åt enkel med god pasta, och smög runt i trädgården.-A visit at Mellby Klockargård where we had a simple but delicious pasta, and was snooping around the garden.Samt förlovade oss!! Sommarens stora grej. Det kommer för alltid vara det jag minns starkast från sommaren 2016 <3 Idag lämnade jag för övrigt in min ring för att fixa till storleken, så nu känns det lite tomt på fingret </3-Alos, we got engaged!! Kind of a big deal. This will forever be the thing I remember the strongest from the summer of 2016 <3 Today btw I handed in my ring for resizing, so now my hand feels kinda lonely </3Ok here we go!(på engelska, som vanligt)

  • Ok first of all! STRANGER THINGS. You guys!!! We just finished it the other day and holy cow it's thrilling! It's so retro my nerd soul is peeing its pants a little. And the theme music! Ugh, so good. Gives me the chills.

  • I found this episode of Millennial so touching and warming and it totally reminded me of mine & Hannah's relationship.

  • Rania's blog post on hiking St. Olav's trail was really inspiring! How they met so many open hearted people on the way and just enjoyed a simple life.

  • I also got sucked in the hole of The Magicians on HBO this last month (well let's be honest, the one week that it took me to binge the whole first season). Just can't get enough of them low budget fantasy/high school shows! But this one is actually good. Like, for real. Also, the character Elliot totally reminds me of Sebastian in Brideshead Revisited.

  • Nina's breakfast club interview with Rene Byrd of Will Frolic For Food was just so lovely to read, and I found myself wanting to either be best friends with Rene/live her life. She seems like such a grounded and kind and wild hearted person! And her blog is gorgeous. Check it out!

  • This interview on Rich Roll with Dr. Robynne Chutkan about microbiome health was just SO incredibly interesting! I learned heaps. it gave me such a better understanding of how our immune system works and how to make it stronger. And I'm so much more chill with them germs now (It's an old one but I just found it recently).

  • I just love peeking into Sofia @ Mokkasin's everyday life as a stylist and creative do-it-all <3 Always the eye candy of the day. And her storytelling is so imaginative and compelling!

  • Louise's Squarespace guides! Saving my life as I'm currently going through a blog move.

  • Boost your immune system with this Sea Buckthorne morning elixir. Yes please! A plus for the vibrant and gorgeous photography! From Evelinas Ekologiska.

  • Next movie night, I'm making these. For sure. We love all things peanut butter in this household. From Lindsey of Dolly & Oatmeal.

  • Speaking of peanut butter... This Vegan PB Caramel Sundae from Virpi & Tuulia's book Nice Cream, here interpreted by Laura of The First Mess, also scores pretty high on the movie night snack list <3

  • I'm pretty excited to try Green Kitchen Stories Vegan Tuna! Have you tried it?

Wanna see more of my food crushes? I've have a Bloglovin collection solely dedicated to mouth watering (of course). What are you totally obsessed with right now? :-)xo AgnesAll photographs, recipes and content are Cashew Kitchen originals, unless otherwise indicated.
