SEPTEMBER HIKE
Before I knew it, September ended and October started. I think this year broke some kind of record in being the sunniest, most beautiful September ever! I also set a personal record in being fully booked and super busy all the time. Perhaps not my idea of the perfect life situation since I can't handle stress at all, yet somehow I managed to go on long walks and hikes and take lots of photos anyway. Maybe an unconscious survival strategy? Probably.I love these little weekend adventures! To prepare something warm to drink, fill my backpack with a sandwich and some fruit, a warm sweater, and set off alone; slowing down, inhale, let go. Allowing myself to pause from talking, interacting, worrying, running around, and instead grasping the bigger picture in the tiny little wonders found in nature's seemingly plain looking nooks. These photos are takes on my last hike in Gothenburg area before the move to Stockholm. Fading heath, wet mushrooms, eerie forest paths, pink leaves, filtered sunlight. A crispy apple and a decadent cacao sandwich.I'm in awe. This time, I'll let the photos speak for themselves.Bye bye September! Hello October, new city, new forest hikes, new people and lots of new recipes. Like the chocolate loaf in the pictures that I'm adjusting to perfection. Stay tuned! All photographs, recipes and content are Cashew Kitchen originals, unless otherwise indicated. Please link back to me when sharing.
